“Remember Me”
|
The drawing entitled, “Remember Me”, was drawn in dedication to my grandmother who was diagnosed with Alzhiemers Disease in 1997. Grandma was such a beautiful vibrant woman before the disease took her over. Her personality was kind, and loving with a passionate fire that effected all around her. Like many who watch their loved ones effected by this horrible disease, it shocked me how the disease rapidly deteriorated this wonderful woman. In 1996 I started the drawing for my grandmother. I love tulips, and I decided to draw them for her in some of her favorite colors. When I had started this drawing my grandmother was fully capable and vibrant (like the tulips shown), but by the time I had completely finished she had withered away. My hope is that everyone cherishes their time here on earth with their loved one, and never forgets that special person in their glory. Original
