This was a piece that I swore I would never sell! I love the purple blue of this iris, and the misty look of the morning beyond the flower. I felt like I was right there laying down next to the flower garden seeing the bloom at a bugs eye view. Thus continued the intrigue that I have had with having a closer view… or drawing my impression of what I felt it would be like, and to share with others. I remember once saying, “I want to draw the things that many take for granted and pass by without so much of a glimpse. If I make the drawing this big, it cannot be ignored.”
